VIRGINIA TAKES GAME 1 AGAINST UC IRVINE

The Virginia baseball team picked up 6-0 win over UC Irvine in game 1 of there best of 3 series yesterday to take a 1-0 series lead heading into this afternoons game.  Even though Danny Hultzen didn't have his best stuff he was good enough to keep the Anteaters bats offense off balance before the rain delay before getting into some trouble in the 6th before having Cody Winiarski come in a get a pitchers best friend a double play to get out of trouble.  Winiarski come in and pitched the final 3.2 innings allowing just 1 hit, the big blow offensively for the Cavaliers was a Jared King 3 run HR.  In other NCAA baseball action yesterday both North Carolina and Vanderbilt punched there ticket to this years College World Series.  The other winners yesterday were Texas A&M, California, South Carolina, Mississippi State, and Texas.  Kurt Busch captured his 2nd pole in as many weeks at Pocono edging Paul Menard for the top spot, I think today's race is going to be another fuel mileage run and I think Dale Jr. will be in the mix again.
